Christchurch Workshop - Wickets and Other Sticky Stuff

Christchurch Workshop - Wickets and Other Sticky Stuff

UX designers generally don't like long pages of dense content and, to be fair, neither do we technical writers. But sometimes it's unavoidable, and readers can get lost -- especially on mobile devices -- wading through large chunks of content, even when there are section headings. This session presents a simple and effective CSS technique that solves this admittedly minor but still annoying UX issue, and does it cleanly and elegantly!

What you will learn

You will learn:

  • How large content chunks can disorient users
  • How typical solutions fall short
  • How to break up long content into identified chunks
  • How to apply a simple CSS property to solve the problem.

Cost

Costs for the workshop are:

  • Members: $70.00 plus GST
  • Students: $20.00 plus GST
  • Affiliate members $90.00 plus GST
  • Non-members$150.00 plus GST.
