Technical Writer – 6 month contract

Dynamic Controls is an autonomous subsidiary of US-listed Invacare Corporation and leads the world in design and manufacture of electronic controls for power wheelchairs and scooters. Our purpose is to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities through playing a lead role in the Bio-Medical sector. Reporting to the Systems Manager, you will create and deliver technical documentation to meet customer and market approval requirements.

You will be part of a talented team, in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key accountabilities include:

• Creating and maintaining product installation manuals and user guides
• Supporting the creation of technical marketing literature and web site content
• Supporting the creation of regulatory documentation for market approvals

To be successful you will need:

• Relevant technical qualification, i.e. NZCE, GDID or equivalent
• Experience in technical writing, preferably in the electronics or software industries
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal directly with customers
• Proficient in the use of MadCap Flare
• Experience with vector and raster image software
• Keen eye for detail
