Auckland Council has an exciting new Reporting Specialist role on a 12 month fixed-term basis.

The opportunity

You will play a key role in contributing to Auckland Council's performance reporting and annual report.

You will provide performance reporting information to senior management and the public, and contribute to continuous process improvement within the business. Excellent stakeholder relationship skills are essential as the position engages and influences a wide range of people across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to utilise and develop your report writing skills and contribute to the innovation and improvements within our high performing team.

Your attention to detail will be vital since you will be responsible for quality control processes to ensure accurate performance information is captured from across the group. You will also have highly developed writing skills to ensure that the reporting is consistent, well-written and clearly conveys the achievements of the group. In addition, you will carry out quality control through the detailed proofing and production oversight of reports.

Who you are

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in commerce, business management, communications or related discipline
  • Proven experience in report writing and presenting meaningful information to a wider audience
  • Strong copywriting skills is an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A customer centric approach to prioritise multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines.
