About the opportunity

We are looking for a Technical Communicator to join our Documentation team. The experience level is entry-level and would also suit persons looking to start a career in technical communication.

At ezyVet, we provide cloud-based practice management software solutions to veterinary businesses around the world. The ezyVet & Vet Radar software helps our customers manage their clinics, specialist centres, hospitals or universities in intuitive and innovative ways giving them more time and the tools to better care for our furry friends.

Customers are at the heart of everything we do. In this role, you will create readable and accessible corporate and product content to empower our teams with the knowledge they need to help customers make best use of our products.

  • Receive comprehensive training in industry-leading technical communication skills, tools, and methodologies

  • Make and maintain corporate documentation for important cross-team business processes
  • Play a key part in our reinvention of the help system in the software
  • Interview subject matter experts for technical information—then translate/condense/recreate this into documentation that helps customers use ezyVet products
  • Use a variety of documentation delivery formats (including video)
  • Perform technical editing and proofreading tasks to maintain content standards
  • Write microcontent for the user interface of ezyVet software
  • Write release notes for all ezyVet products to help customers use new features or updates
  • Interview customers and staff to measure the effectiveness of content readability and delivery
  • Work with our teams to standardise terminology and language used when supporting and training customers on the use of ezyVet products.

What we are looking for

Attributes:

  • Passion for writing and communication with a desire to build a career in this space
  • Empathetic - able to put yourself in someone else’s shoes, boots, paws
  • Lover of a concise sentence
  • Recent qualification from a relevant degree
  • Software knowledge or a strong interest in technology and an aptitude for understanding technical material
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (fluency in equine, canine, and avian preferred) helping you to work with our Product, Implementation, Support, and Marketing Teams
  • Experience with any authoring, editing, or video production tools is a bonus
  • Customer support experience (of any kind) or a demonstrable enthusiasm for helping people (and or animals!)
  • Growth mindset, wanting to spread your wings and fly
  • A knack for analysis and problem solving
  • Looking for an action-packed dynamic environment.
