About the opportunity

Waikato Regional Council is seeking assistance to develop Council's Emergency Response Framework. The framework has 3 core components:

  • The strategic direction.
  • An emergency response manual in the form of a Standard Operating Procedures manual.
  • Templates and checklists that support the manual.

This framework is designed to guide Council staff to triage, assess and respond in emergencies.

What you will do

The ideal contractor will be required to review existing documents, provide guidance with regards to reaching specific audiences, and in particular author (referencing an existing draft manual) and finally design the layout of the manual.

The contractor would work directly with and report to the Emergency Management Office of Council.

What you will bring

Ideally you would be someone who understands how diverse an organisation like a regional council can be and the need for "easy to use" manuals and checklists that can reach a variety of audiences.

You do not have to be based in Hamilton and can work from home. However, some face to face meetings will be necessary.
