Christchurch Branch Event – There and Back Again: A UK XML Tale
In 2008, James McLaughlin left Christchurch to work in the UK. For the last 8 years, he has been creating documentation in Cambridge using XML-based Docbook and DITA CCMS systems.
In this talk, James describes how these systems work and why they are extremely powerful tools for some forms of documentation but a hindrance for others. He concludes by reflecting on his experiences in the UK workplace.
