Last year, the Engineering and Maintenance department at Airways (New Zealand's air navigation service provider) completed an 18-month project to consolidate their core suite of policies and procedures, and move them from separate PDF documents to a single web-based information structure.
David Tran will briefly describe how they ran usability testing on the new version, including:
- Creating test scripts and results sheets
- Running local and remote tests
- Presenting the results
- Lessons learnt for next time

About the speaker
David Tran is a technical writer at Airways New Zealand. He joined Airways seven years ago while completing his Graduate Diploma in Information Design. As part of the Engineering and Maintenance department, David works mainly with the department’s internal policies and procedures. He also supports some software user guides for other parts of the company.
