Christchurch Branch Event: Portfolios – a valuable interview tool

A portfolio is a collection of your work samples that you take to job interviews so you can demonstrate your skills and experience. The samples are evidence of your capabilities and give you an opportunity to explain the software, audience analysis, design theory, etc. that you used and any constraints you had to manage. Interviewers gain a better understanding of your abilities and are likely to learn more about your skills. Plus, your preparedness demonstrates initiative.

So how do you put together a portfolio? What should you include and exclude? How do you integrate your samples into the interview? Find out how during an informal discussion with Joan Nanartowicz at the April TechCommNZ meeting.
