TechCommNZ lands at ITx!

As you read this, our industrious TechCommNZ board members are setting up a booth at the TSB Bank Arena and Shed 6, Wellington. They are armed with jet planes, pens, shameless TechCommNZ propaganda and their winning smiles, all in the name of bringing tech comms into the spotlight at ITx this week!

As you know, we’ve had a booth in the past, and this year we are stepping up our game with our own tech comm stream.

So what are we hoping to accomplish?

Organizations like TechCommNZ are uniquely positioned to promote our profession to organizations that purchase technical communication services... which is precisely the reason we sent committee members to ITx last year. Not to mention of course, this is a prime opportunity to grow our own skills as technical writers, information experts, leaders and teammates.

Members of the board will be manning the booth over the three conference days and offering up some writing games and prizes.

On Thursday, the winner of the Excellence in Tech Communication award will be announced at a fabulous gala dinner.

Then, on Friday, we’ll be running the Tech Comm stream along with our line up of excellent speakers.

The board have also taken this opportunity to bring this month’s board meeting forward. This is a great opportunity to snag one of us and bring up your ideas, concerns or praises in person. Or, just take the opportunity to chat! We’d love to talk to you.

Our Comms Coordinator will be keeping the social media feeds updated throughout the ITx Conference Events.
