There has been a lot of interest in news of Ara's revised Graduate Diploma of Information Design and Management. The teams working on this at Ara and NZQA have been working hard behind the scenes. We report on the latest news from Ara.

Ara Institute's Graduate Diploma in Information Design and Management is an NZQA Level 7 qualification taught via distance learning. When it first emerged, it was about technical writing. Twenty years on and the course includes UX, information architecture, knowledge management, visual language, and other specialty topics based around a core of professional writing and editing.

After withdrawing the qualification in 2015, the team at Ara has been very busy working with NZQA to refresh the curriculum and delivery model. The final hurdle in the approval process is a one-day panel attended by NZQA, Ara staff, and industry experts. This date for this has just been confirmed and the panel will meet in mid-August.
