Christchurch Branch Event – Field Trip to CORE Education's Library

Managing content and providing access to print and digital resources is a challenge for all businesses, especially small ones.

In 2016, CORE Education adopted Koha – an Open Source Library Management system.

Solving the challenge of how to provide our 200 distributed staff with access to a collection of printed and virtual content (both internally created and externally sourced), required more than a touch of number-8-wire thinking. CORE is now starting 2017 with a collection of over 1,000 items. All staff:

  • have individual logins (although databases are IP-authenticated within our 3 offices)
  • can curate content in their area of expertise
  • can make suggestions to purchase
  • can tag items with company language.

CORE Koha has transformed how we access and retrieve research and information to support our professional practice and development.
