This role forms part of a highly accomplished technical services department responsible for delivering innovative "best in breed" engineering systems that set the benchmark in their global market. This is a collaborative role. What will you be doing

You will:

  • Collaborate with product designers and product support engineers to understand customer needs
  • Design, review and produce world class content for product manuals
  • Organise the production and distribution of final documentation
  • Create and test complex, well-engineered deliverables with specified content and layout
  • Manage the configuration of documentation items and files
  • Identify and report around continuous improvement opportunities
  • Ensure that internal and external customers are delighted with all outcomes.

What will you bring

You will bring:

  • 3+ years' experience as a technical author ideally gained within a low volume capital machinery design/manufacturing environment
  • A tertiary level technical qualification in engineering or science
  • Strong command of the English language (written and verbal)
  • Well versed understanding of working with Author-it and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Working knowledge of CAD systems, preferably Solidworks
  • Natural ability to work collaboratively within an engineering/technical environment
  • Strong drive for customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
