About the opportunity

This Wellington-based position is part of The Hub, Xero’s internal creative department. Your role will be dedicated to writing content for xero.com and emails for people who visit the site. Your focus will be led from our digital team and you’ll collaborate closely with experts of the Xero product, other writers and designers.

What you will do

You’ll need to write empathetically for a wide range of audiences around the world. From someone who’s intimidated by business financials in London to the partner of an accounting firm in Auckland. You’ll also need to write for any occasion. From thumb-stopping headlines to in-depth product pages. If it’s on xero.com , you’ll know the best way to write it.

Our ideal candidate

Our ideal candidate will have a portfolio of work showcasing their storytelling prowess and a range of digital writing samples to demonstrate that they’re confident working in different tones and styles. Taking the complicated and translating it into plain English will be your forte.
A passion for writing online is a must. SEO, user journeys, how different audiences engage with content, content loading and publishing is all part of your skill set. If you’ve used AEM in the past, even better. We’re looking for someone who’s eternally curious about the performance of every page and how to make it better.
