TechCommNZ Webinar - Agile Tech Comms: Building better relationships

Based on a chapter from Luke's recent book, “An Agile Playbook for Technical Communicators” – Working with Key Agile Roles.

This webinar explores how the role the Agile Technical Communicator will play as part of the Scrum team. It will look at the unique relationship between each of the roles, and how to build better relationships with key players (scrum Master, stakeholders, and development team).

Learning outcomes

    • how technical communicators can work effectively with the three distinctive Scrum roles (Scrum Master, Product Owner and the Development Team).

About the presenter

Prior to his Agile leadership career, Luke started out as a technical communicator. It was during this time he developed his passion for non-fiction writing.

In a recent role working as a Senior Scrum Master, Luke was responsible for leading two Agile Scrum remote teams. This experience has driven him to share his insights in this book. Luke is deeply passionate about upskilling professionals into Agile. His writing experience and passion for Agility enables him to share these experiences and insights with TechCommNZ.

Luke’s career highlights include Scrum mastering a team of engineers during the first COVID lockdown of 2021. Another is leading a team that helped roll out the McDonald's Mobile, Order and Pay system to over sixty markets globally.

Outside of work, Luke regularly writes his own blog on Medium, which covers Agile, adaptive management and servant leadership insights. He also spends time with his family and loves to watch movies to unwind.
