Welcome to the Salary Survey Results edition of TechCommWire. I have some great news lined up to share – a new Auckland branch coordinator, exciting education events coming soon, and of course – what you've all been waiting for – the salary survey!

Featured TC: Abhay Chokshi

Abhay Chokshi is an Intermediate Technical Writer at Orion Health in Auckland. He manages a multitude of wiki sites, and creates documentation and information graphics for products that capture big data for technical administrators. He has recently taken on the role of Auckland Branch Coordinator, and he spoke to Tim Grey last week.

Annual Salary Survey Results

Thanks to the 137 TechCommNZ members and non-members who took the opportunity to complete the TechCommNZ Annual Salary Survey. Denise Grealish, a senior research and evaluation analyst working in the government sector, has once again kindly collated the raw data for us. The full survey is only available to TechCommNZ members, who need to log in to the site to access the Member Area and Survey.

Plain English Awards give way to Clarity Conference

We’re excited to announce that Clarity’s next international conference will be held in Wellington, New Zealand on 3–5 November 2016. Called ‘The Business of Clarity’, the conference will consider an evidence-based approach to the benefits of accessible writing in law, business, and government.
