TCANZ Newsletter
| First off, I found the conference amazing! So many brilliantly inspiring people and intriguing concepts in one place – it was a little like being a kid in a candy store. For those of you who were unable to make it, our very own Emily Cotlier has kindly given us her insights for this month’s newsletter. Hopefully this will tempt even more of you to join us for the 2016 conference. TCANZ’s big news for the month is that we have a new President. Emma Harding has graciously accepted the call to fill Steve Moss’ gargantuan shoes after his departure, and will be steering the good ship TCANZ into the future. This month also sees a registration call for the South Island leg of NetHui. If you haven’t been to a NetHui yet, and you’re interested in community-led sessions about online issues, you should really attend. November’s Southern Communicator feature article is on changing trends within technical communication, and how important it is to have a solid background of proper coding and authoring tool use. Let’s Tech Communicate for this month has Jill Parman’s advice on authoring tools for e-learning development, Geoff Hart’s Top 10 Design Principles for Technical Communication (when to use them, and when to ignore them), and much more!
