Webinar - Microsoft Excel for Technical Communicators

Most technical communicators are familiar with Microsoft Word but may have never explored the capabilities of Microsoft's equally powerful companion product.

In this webinar, Peter Nock will help you get started on your Excel journey by telling you about:

About the presenter

Peter studied zoology at university and has taught science and biology at secondary school level. His current role is "Manager of Computing for Free" at Ara Institute of Canterbury (formerly CPIT). In 2001, while doing part-time study in ICT, he worked as a full-time facilitator. This involved helping students to learn, understand and problem solve mostly Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher) and HTML and Photoshop too.

In his current role he manages 20-25 staff in Christchurch, Ashburton,Timaru and Oamaru at Ara community computing sites. He also looks after a team of three tutors in the Youth Transitions team (teaching digital technology to school students), a Digital Boost team (business training in Microsoft Office products) and supports their Head of Department in managing the operations of the department. He admits that he loves technology and gadgets and likes to keep up with latest in apps, tools and toys!
